Anne Garland

Senior Associate

Our very own Jane of the Jungle, Anne is a pure-bred Tucsonan who dragged her knuckles up the I-10 to Arizona State University, never looking back, or is it down?

Earning a degree in public relations from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Anne was a natural selection for the David and Sam PR Training jungle, evolving into a full-time associate in 2007. Ask her about how her co-workers snuck a bullhorn into her graduation ceremony. We are in public relations after all.

The first to admit her life is a bit of a circus, Anne dedicates her free time to serving as a volunteer leader at ASU Young Life, an outreach organization dedicated to offering college kids a safe alternative, as well as scouting local garage bands. And when she pops into the DSPR jungle on Osborn, she's been known to tell the stories of some of Arizona's biggest dogs like radiologists, real estate developers, attorneys, oh and the world's largest coffee and baked goods chain.

Did we mention that Anne is a pirate? Yes, we're serious. If you're lucky, the next time you drop into the studio, maybe you'll catch her with a monkey on her shoulder. He ate the parrot, eye patch and all. She's also the keeper of the studio's fish, diligently monitoring feedings, water temperature and chemistry. Don't ask her what happened when we got Puffy, you'll make her cry.

Oh and by the way, for reasons which we will never understand, she pronounces her name Annie, as in "Little Orphan..." She has spent her whole life wanting to buy a vowel.
