From Denmark, Hello

Hi everyone :)

I started as a trainee at DSPR at the 8th of February, and want to tell you all a little about   my background for traveling all the way over here from Denmark.

My name is Jasmina Bekker Hansen, I am 24 years old and have been living in Denmark for my whole life. This internship is the last step in finishing my education from the International Business Academy in Kolding as a market economist, and i am going to be here for about 3 months. Usually the internship takes place in Denmark, but I took it as an opportunity to travel over here and experience what it would be like to work in a PR company in the states. The fact that the culture here, among a lot of other things, is very different from the way things are in Denmark, is really interesting and I hope that my internship in this company is going to give me a lot of tools and experiences that I can use in the future to get an international job and maybe show me the way to what I would like to be doing in the future.

The reason why I chose to do my internship at DSPR is that I really like to be creative in many ways. I like the idea of having contact with clients, and solving problems that are different from one another and need a creative way of thinking. I do not know that much about PR, but do feel that it might be something that could be interesting for me, because  there is a big variety in this job. When I went to the DSPR website it seemed like a company with sense of working in a way that included these things.

So here I am, doing my internship by David and Sam PR in Phoenix and hoping to learn a lot more about both the country, the job and the company, to maybe help set the boundaries for my future, whether this means here in Phoenix, in Denmark or some place else.

I am openminded and just so thankful to have gotten the opportunity to be here. It is all just so exiting and I am looking very much forward to my stay as a trainee in this company for the next few moths and writing back to you in a few weeks about my experiences so far.
